The United Thank Offering (UTO) of the Episcopal Church is a personal spiritual discipline of Thanksgiving that supports God’s mission throughout the world. There is a sacramental quality about UTO: an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace that takes place as you participate.
Give thanks for good things that happen every day-little or big. This is the inward and spiritual grace.
As you give thanks, put some coins or dollars into a UTO Blue Box. This is the outward and visible sign.
Periodically the money will be collected at church in an “ingathering”. Monies are sent to the UTO national office and distributed through grant applications. The first UTO ingathering will be Sunday, November 18, the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
Blue Boxes are available in the Parish Hall. All are encouraged to participate. Please talk to Millie Ericson, UTO Representative, for more information.
