Grounds Workday: “Many hands make light work”. Grounds Committee is planning a landscaping workday on Tuesday, September 24th at 9am. Anyone who can come help will be greatly appreciated! Please bring gloves & gardening tools if possible.

Fr. Bill Ericson has announced his retirement from the active ministry of the priesthood on Sunday, September 29th.  He and Millie, we are happy to report, will continue to be with us as friends and fellow parishioners. We will honor them both at a reception that morning, and will present Fr. Bill with a purse to brighten his retirement.  You can contribute to this most appropriate gift by making your check payable to Holy Spirit, FOR Fr. Bill, and mailing it to the office, or placing it in the offering plate. We will also celebrate Fr. Bill’s 80th birthday with a cake during the reception. Please bring a finger food appetizer to share with everyone following the 10am service.

The Feast of St. Francis and the Liturgy for the Blessing of the Animals will be celebrated on Sunday, October 6th at 2pm. We ask that you bring your pet restrained on a leash or in a kennel for their own safety and that of their furry neighbors. Also, we hope you bring donations of either dog or cat food or treats to support our local animal shelter. We will have St Francis blessing certificates for your pets. Please come and help us honor both this blessed event and our wonderful companions!
